Arizona: The Grand Canyon State

I have such fond memories of Arizona growing up. When I was little we would go to Yuma, AZ for the Padres spring training games. My family and I would watch the games and then go in the hotel pool after, it was the best. Another core memory I have from Arizona is going to the Grand Canyon. I think I was in elementary school when we went but I still remember the magnificence of peering out and seeing the canyons. It did seem pretty grand. Later in life, my family and I embarked on a long RV trip with one of the last stops in Arizona. That time we swung by the Wigwam Motel which was such a cool thing to see. If you've ever seen the movie Cars, you'll think the Wigwam Motel looks familiar to the Cozy Cone hotel from the movie, that's because the Wigwam Motel was an inspiration for that hotel in the movie. There's so many amazing things in Arizona, definitely worth a visit.
