Colorado is a state that I will definitely be visiting again soon because I've barely seen the state and there's so much more I want to see. We were on an epic roadtrip starting in California and driving up to Wyoming through Nevada and Utah and making our way back through Colorado and Arizona. (The trip was actually nine states total, it was crazy.) We weren't planning on going to Colorado much but when I saw on the map that there was a National Park near the border with Utah, we just had to go! This park is Mesa Verde National Park and I'm so glad we stopped there, it was so cool. For over 700 years, the Ancestral Pueblo people built their homes in the sides of these cliffs in Mesa Verde. We were in a rush and couldn't stay too long but without a doubt I want to go back and spend more time there.
