New Hampshire: Live Free and Explore

I don't have much memory of New Hampshire but I went there as a kid on a roadtrip up to Maine. We will be going through New Hampshire again later this year (2024) so I will make sure to stop and explore more.

Here's some fun facts about New Hampshire:

  • New Hampshire holds the first primary in the presidential election cycle, making it a key state in American politics. Candidates often spend significant time campaigning here, and the New Hampshire primary has a reputation for shaping the presidential race.

  • Located in the White Mountains, Mount Washington is the highest peak in the northeastern United States, standing at 6,288 feet (1,917 meters). It's famous for its erratic weather conditions, including high winds and extreme cold temperatures.

  • The Piscataqua River, which forms part of the border between New Hampshire and Maine, is one of the fastest-flowing navigable rivers in the United States. It's also home to the iconic Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse.
