New York: Big Buildings, Broadway, and Bagels

In 2016, I visited my brother in Washington D.C. for my final college spring break. Both of us had never been to New York, so we decided to take a bus up there and spend a couple days. We definitely ate a lot. We got bagels, New York style pizza, we went to bakeries, and even ate on Tavern on the Green. Tavern on the Green is a beautiful restaurant in Central Park. To be honest, Central Park was probably my favorite park of New York. While in the park we visited the Central Park zoo, which was small but nice.
Other things that I absolutely loved in NYC was The High Line and Chelsea Market. The High Line is a unique elevated park built on a former railway line on Manhattan's West Side. It offers a scenic stroll above the city streets, with lush greenery, public art installations, and panoramic views of the surrounding neighborhoods and Hudson River. Chelsea Market is a vibrant food hall and shopping destination located in the heart of Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. Housed in a historic industrial building, it offers a diverse array of artisanal food vendors, restaurants, specialty shops, and boutiques, making it a bustling hub for culinary delights and unique gifts.

I'm not much of a big city person so I wouldn't a say NYC was one of my favorite places but it was nice and the food was great. I still need to see a show on Broadway. I have season theater tickets to the traveling Broadway but I've never seen a show in NYC. I'm visiting NYC in October (2024), so I will definitely have more recommendations and such after that trip.
